Attorney General Andy Beshear presented a check for $700,000 to Necco in Bowling Green Thursday (7/21) morning.
Necco specializes in adoptions, but recently started a new program to combat substance abuse.
This money will specifically be used to fight drug addiction.
Beshear said the $700,000 to Necco is part of more than $9 million being provided to drug treatment and settlement funds from the oxycontin lawsuit.
Necco said all the resources they can get right now are important, because the drug epidemic isn’t event supposed to peak until 2020.
