Drivers crossing the Lincoln Bridge on Friday morning should see two new cameras on it.
The cameras, which are scheduled to be installed overnight Thursday (9/05) and into early Friday morning on Interstate-65 North near Court Avenue, will be used for tests as part of preparations for the all-electronic tolling of the bridge.
Tolling won’t begin until the Kennedy Bridge reopens and the East End Bridge is completed. Both are expected to happen later this year.
Due to the installation of the cameras, two lanes of I-65 North will be closed near the north end of the Lincoln Bridge. The lanes are scheduled to close around 9 p.m. Thursday and reopen by 5 a.m. Friday.
RiverLink will be responsible for the all-electronic tolling of the Lincoln, Kennedy and East End bridges. For more information on the tolling visit www.riverlink.com.
