
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department responded to a welfare check and upon arrival they find a toddler who was found by a resident on Cross Creek Court. Deputies investigated and finally located where the toddler lived and found the father asleep and possibly under the influence of narcotics.
Officials saw drug paraphernalia in the home.
After obtaining a search warrant, deputies found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
Joseph Penn, 27, of Alvaton was arrested for wanton endangerment, trafficking a controlled substance, endangering welfare of a minor and was also served a warrant of arrest on an unrelated matter.
The 20 month-old was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment and was later placed with family members.
