Louisville Metro Police responded to a call shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday about a body found on a sidewalk in the 7400 block of New La Grange Road.
Police believe the victim, a white female in her 30s, died as a result of foul play.
It’s not clear who found the victim first and then called police. Hours after the investigation started, LMPD’s crime scene unit and detectives could still be seen going door to door talking to neighbors Saturday afternoon. Police have not named any suspects.
The case remains under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department’s homicide unit.
The coroner’s report will likely take several days to be released.
