Former LaRue County High School principal Kyle Goodlett made his first court appearance on more than 60 felony child pornography charges Monday morning in Hardin District Court.
The appearance before Judge Kimberly Shumate was brief with Goodlett waiving a preliminary hearing in the case, pushing it to the Hardin County grand jury for potential indictment.
Goodlett, 36, who had served as LaRue County principal for three years, is not allowed to have contact with anyone under the age of 18 and must have Child Protection Services supervision to be with his own three children as part of his bond stipulation.
Goodlett was arrested October 13 and charged with over 60 counts of posÂsession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and three counts of first offense distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. The charges came after the execution of a search warrant at his Elizabethtown residence.
