Two teenagers have died and one teenager is in critical condition after a crash in Adair County.
Macie Drake, 15 and Abby Gail Curry, 15, both of Columbia were riding in a Can-Am UTV going southbound on Sanders Ridge Road on Friday when they failed to stop at the intersection of KY 206. The UTV crossed into the path of a Ford F-250 operated by 52 year-old Randell Gabehart of Knifley. The UTV was struck on the passenger side and both vehicles left the roadway.
Drake and Curry were both pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim, 14 year-old Raquel Anyesa, was ejected from the UTV and was airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Gabehart was transported to TJ Health in Columbia where he was treated and released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
