
Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Jay K. Box announced Friday the appointment of Dr. Juston Pate as president of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC).
Pate is an experienced leader who currently serves as provost at Maysville Community and Technical College. He recently served as interim president of Hazard Community and Technical College. During his time at Maysville Community and Technical Collete, Pate also served as chief academic officer, interim academic dean and associate dean of academics. Prior to joining Maysville Comminity and Technical College, Pate was principal of Mason County Area Technology Center and served in various roles for the school district, including teaching there as well as Harlan County High School.
Pate earned a doctorate in higher education leadership and organizational development from the University of Louisville. He earned a master’s degree in educational administration and a Rank 1 certificate in instructional leadership from Morehead State University; a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education; and an associate of arts degree from Southeast Community and Technical College.
Pate begins his duties as Elizabethtown Community and Technical College president on January 1.
