A Scottsville man appeared in court for the first time since he was indicted on a murder charge for allegedly killing his roommate at a nursing home.
The Reverend, 36, formerly known as Robert Allen Reynolds, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Allen Circuit Court.
The Reverend told Judge Steve Wilson he couldn’t afford an attorney and received disability benefits.
Police arrested The Reverend on Febraury 25 at Scottsville Manor assisted living facility, where he is accused of fatally stabbing his roommate, 71-year-old Gary Glueck. Court records say The Revered told police he stabbed Glueck and wrapped an electrical cord around his neck.
The Reverend is scheduled to return to court January 17 for a status conference.
