
A teenage girl is facing charges in the armed robbery of a vehicle in Mt. Washington.
Police were called to High Point Court just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, where a woman reported that her car was taken at gunpoint.
Officers found the car traveling on Bardstown Road in Mt. Washington and followed it into Jefferson County.
Mt. Washington Police and LMPD tried to stop the car as it continued on the Gene Snyder Freeway and Taylorsville Road. The driver eventually crashed into a guardrail at the intersection of Old Taylorsville Road.
A 14-year-old female was driving the car, according to police. A 16-year-old male passenger was also arrested. Both are charged with robbery, fleeing or evading and wanton endangerment.
Police are still gathering information to determine if any other people were involved.
