
A traffic stop leads to two arrests in Russellville.
Police conducted a felony traffic stop on 68 East at Lindsey Lane regarding a wanted violent felon out of Louisville.
Police arrested Sherman Watkins of Louisville on a felony parole absconding warrant. Police say Watkins was also found suspected crystal Methamphetamine, a loaded SKS assault rifle and handgun inside the vehicle.
Russellville police say the driver, Tonia Flowers of Russellville, was also arrested for Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapon.
Watkins was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of Felony Absconding Parole, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree – 2nd or greater offense, and Promoting Contraband 1st Degree.
