Kentucky State Police have arrested a Beaver Dam man in connection with the murder of a woman found in a wildlife management area.
Detectives charged 41-year-old Donald Lynch with murder Thursday afternoon. Lynch was arrested on Tuesday (12/20) for trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and lodged in the Ohio County Jail.
Police said working leads and executing search warrants is what led them to arrest the man charged with 30 year-old Amanda Riley’s murder.
Riley’s body was found by a hunter Sunday in a lake at the Peabody Wildlife Management area.
An autopsy revealed her cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Lynch has a bond of $25,000 cash set for trafficking a controlled substance but no bond has been set for his murder charge.
