Kentucky State Police say one man is dead after his truck went off a Hart County bridge and into the Green River just before Noon on Christmas Eve.
Kentucky State Police says 41-year-old Patrick Gardner of Munfordville was traveling south on 31E in his 1999 GMC pick-up when he failed to make the curve just before crossing the Rio Bridge between Linwood and Canmer.
Gardner’s vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, where the vehicle flipped over the guardrail and continued down a steep embankment into the Green River.
Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
