Two women were arrested after an investigation in Ohio County that spanned two weeks.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office worked a burglary report on December 16 in the Dundee area on Highway 69 North.
It was believed the residence had been entered on more than one occasion in the days prior to the report. Deputies set up a remote surveillance system inside and outside the home.
Photos were gained of two females removing items from the home the following day.
An investigation showed the women were Destiny Richards of Hartford and Crystal Fuqua of Fordsville.
Deputies were able to recover items taken from the home in the burglaries.
Further statements were taken and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office received arrest warrants related to the case on Friday night, December 30.
Kentucky State Police assisted in the case, arresting both Richards and Fuqua while deputies interrogated them.
It is believed the females did not act alone. The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the possibility of charging two other suspects as well in connection with the burglary.
Richards and Fuqua are being held in the Ohio County Detention Center.
