Just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday, the Kentucky State Police and Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house on Dundee Narrows Road, after receiving a call of a vehicle on fire.
The caller stated the driver of the vehicle had unlawfully entered their home and gone to a room inside.
Authorities found 31-year-old Nicholas McMain of Hartford had been traveling on Dundee Narrows Road when his vehicle left the roadway and became stuck.
At some point, the vehicle caught fire and became completely engulfed in flames.
McMain then went into the home, after the homeowner stepped outside to investigate the engulfed vehicle in his yard.
McMain was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 1st degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
