
Two men are in custody following a break-in at Taylor Pharmacy in Hardinsburg early Saturday (01/28) morning.
Hardinsubrg Police Department responded to an alarm at the pharmacy around 2 a.m. Saturday and found broken glass. A witness stated seeing a white Chevy Tahoe headed out Fairgrounds Road before authorities arrived on scene.
A short time later, an Irvington Police Officer stopped a vehicle matching the description along U.S. 60 near Garfield, where two suspects were taken into custody.
Police said 42-year-old Barry Joe Kerr of Georgetown, Indiana and 34-year-old Shawn Dale Coogle of Louisville were lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center on charges of burglary 3rd degree, criminal mischief, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and persistent felony offender.
The incident remains under investigation.
The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department also assisted with the investigation and traffic stop.
