The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an inmate that escaped while being transported Thursday.
Mickey Carter was able to get away during a transfer from the Simpson County Justice Center to Allen County Detention Center.
Subject is described as being approximately 5’3″, weighing 110 pounds, with dark hair and last seen wearing an orange jump suit and jail issued flip-flops. He escaped on foot in the area of 1555 New Gallatin Road after removing leg shackles and forcing the rear window open.
Officials asks anyone with information of his whereabouts to call the Allen County Sheriff’s Office at 270-237-3210 or 911 and do not approach him.
