A woman accused of murdering another woman in Smiths Grove last year is sentenced on a guilty plea.
Mary Thompson was charged in the death of Dealynn O’Connor.
Police say shortly after being arrested Thompson admitted killing O’Connor.
In addition to being sentenced for murder, Thompson was also sentenced on charges of fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment, bail jumping and possession of a handgun, all enhanced because she is a persistent felony offender.
She was sentenced to 30 years on the various charges all to run concurrently plus seven years on previous convictions for a total of 37 years in prison.
