Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff receives high scores from a federal inspection team.
A government team of inspectors from the National Cemetery Administration visited the cemetery on April 11th and 12th to ensure the cemetery was operating in compliance with the National Cemetery Aadministration guidelines. The team consisted of four highly trained professionals skilled in all aspects of cemetery operations.
During the two-day visit, they reviewed five critical areas: interment operations, ground maintenance, headstone and niche cover maintenance, equipment maintenance, and other operational standards.
The inspectors evaluated the performance of the cemetery against 94 applicable measures using a combination of documentation review, in-person interviews of cemetery staff, visual inspection, and a statistical sampling of gravesites.
Based on the results of the on-site review, the cemetery earned 88 points out of a possible 94 for an overall compliance percentage of 94%. Based on the National Cemetery Administration’s compliance measurement criteria, the cemetery is compliant with the terms and conditions of its Veterans Administration cemetery grant awards.
Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Ccentral Director, Chuck Heater, credits the dedicated and motivated staff for the positive results.
