
An inmate has walked away from a minimum-security prison in Mercer County.
Thomas Meeks was serving an 18-year sentence for convictions on 12 counts of burglary and theft by unlawful taking, including a stolen firearm, when he walked out of Northpoint Training Center Friday morning.
Meeks is a 5-foot-11 white male, weighing 200 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kentucky State Police-Richmond Post” at 859-623-2404. Meeks would have been eligible for parole in March of next year.
