Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green responded to a report of a stabbing just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday at a home on South Jackson Highway in Hart County.
When police arrived on scene, they found 23 year old Aniceto Perez Lopez, of Horse Cave, with a stab wound to his abdomen.
He was flown to the University of Louisville Trauma Center where he later died from his injuries. An autopsy was scheduled at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.
Police say the man responsible for Lopez’s injuries, and another man, were on scene when they arrived.
According to the preliminary investigation, both men sustained injuries from an altercation with Lopez prior to the stabbing.
The case will be forwarded to the Hart County Commonwealth’s Attorney for review as the investigation continues.
