A man who police say drove another man to a Kentucky gas station where he fatally shot a police officer has pleaded guilty to charges in three pending cases.
Media outlets report that in November 2015, 37-year-old Carl Lee Banks drove Raleigh Sizemore to a Richmond gas station where Sizemore attempted to rob a woman. Following the incident, police began to search for Sizemore, who later fatally wounded 33-year-old Richmond Police Officer Daniel Ellis.
Police charged Sizemore with Ellis’ murder.
Banks has pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery, bail jumping, complicity to first degree wanton endangerment and criminal facilitation of first-degree robbery.
Banks is scheduled to be sentenced on July 28.
