Kentucky State Police say 31-year-old Nicole Asbell of Hazel, Kentucky was driving recklessly on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Muhlenberg County, when she lost control of her Chevy at the 53 mile marker and flipped several times just after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Asbell was conscious in her car, still clinging to a warm glass pipe with burnt residue inside when police arrived. Police also found an open pack of a synthetic drug called Mr. Happy Potpourri.
Asbell was admitted to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for injuries sustained in the collision. Asbell was sited to court on the following charges:
1. Reckless Driving
2. Improperly on the Left Side of Road
3. Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense
4. Possession of Synthetic Drugs 1st Offense
5. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
6. Leaving the Scene of Accident
7. Residents Not to Use License of Other States
