
A three vehicle accident claimed the life of two people Friday evening in Nelson County.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on KY 245 (New Shepherdsville Road) when 34 year-old Tayseer Lewis of Brandenburg was traveling West in a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup and, for unknown reasons, crossed into the Eastbound lanes striking the rear of a Hyundai Elantra, driven by 34 year-old Krystal Fauth of Coxs Creek. The pickup continued on striking a Ford Mustang, driven by 25 year-old Amber Tingle of Shepherdsville, head-on.
Tayseer Lewis was extricated from the vehicle and transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. Amber Tingle and her passenger 30 year-old Billie Watts of Cox’s Creek, were both extricated from their vehicle and transported to University Of Louisville Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
Toxicology results are pending and the accident is currently under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
