
An Eastview man was arrested Tuesday (11/7) night and charged with attempted murder after reportedly firing a shot at another man and then holding a woman hostage inside a Summit Road residence.
Hardin County SHeriff’s Department was called to the residence on Summit Road around 10 pm Tuesday night.
Roger Kolley, 46, was arrested and charged by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department with three felonies. No was injured, according to police. Kolley reportedly fired the gun while next to 27 year-old Christina Morris, of Leitchfield and would not allow Morris to leave his residence. Following his arrest, Kolley also is alleged to have lunged at a deputy.
During a search of the home, police found a zippered bag on the living room floor with suspected methamphetamine, a syringe and glass pipe. Morris told authorities the bag belonged to her.
Kolley is charged with attempted murder; first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree unlawful imprisonment; along with misdemeanor charges of menacing and resisting arrest.
Kolley is being held in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond at the Hardin County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear November 17 in Hardin District Court.
Morris was charged with first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
