
A Payneville woman was injured after a single vehicle accident near Payneville Tuesday (11/14) night.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 6:30 pm on near the five mile marker on Rhodelia Road. A 1999 Ford Crown Victoria driven by 80 year-old Ralph Miller of Payneville, went off of the roadway and into a ditch line causing the airbags to be deployed. Miller told authorities that he saw a eastbound semi truck with one headlight approaching, which caused him to drive off the road.
Miller’s passenger, 74 year-old Elaine Miller, was taken to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana for possible injures by Meade County EMS. The Payneville Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
