The trial of Hardin County man charged in the shooting death of a Bonnieville woman has been delayed.
David Finley, 48, of Elizabethtown, was scheduled to stand trial December 11, but a motion to change the date in order to give the prosecution more time to prepare was granted Friday in Hart Circuit Court.
Finley is facing charges of murder (domestic violence), attempted murder (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence in the March 14 death of 27 year-old Jennifer Hendricks. The attempted murder charge stems from the accusation that he shot at another person during the same shooting incident.
The trial date was reset for February 26 with a pretrial conference to be held February 6.
Finley, who is serving a 15-year sentence on a previous felony conviction, was indicted by a Hart County grand jury in April. The indictment also charged him with first-degree persistent felony offender.
