Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contract workers will begin constructing additional sidewalk along a section of US 60 in Irvington near the school next week.
Beginning Monday (12/11) the westbound lane will be blocked during the day to perform this work. Temporary traffic control will in place to direct motorists around the work zone via the center turn lane. Traffic control will be in place each morning at approximately 8 am EST and taken up each afternoon.
During this time, finishing touches will also be applied along the US 60 widening project as workers address erosion issues and cleanup construction debris. The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
