Hardin County Detention Center inmate enjoyed nearly a half hour of freedom after escaping custody.
Police said 35 year-old Christopher Carson, of Elizabethtown, escaped from the jail Friday (3/2) night at about 7:25 pm as he took out some trash. Local law enforcement was notified, and after a 25 minute search of the area Carson was captured by a Kentucky State Trooper while walking on US 31-W.
In early February, Carson began serving a four-month sentence for DUI, with aggravating circumstances. He now is charged with escape.
