A Leitchfield woman was taken to the hospital after a single vehicle accident on the Western Kentucky Parkway near Caneyville Thursday (3/23) evening.
Around 5:45 pm CDT, emergency crews were called to the eastbound 92 mile marker after a Nissan Sentra driven by 18 year-old Leslie Swafford of Leitchfield lost control of her car and went off of the road and struck a rock wall, then overturned. Swafford was taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by Grayson County EMS and then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for her injuries.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Caneyville Fire Department at the scene.
