
A Hardinsburg man was arrested following a police pursuit.
According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, shortly after noon Friday (04/27), Deputy Tyler Hardin spotted 32 year-old Jason O. Dowell on a motorcycle and attempted to stop him for an outstanding warrant. Dowell refused to stop, fleeing on Highway 259 North with speeds near 100 miles per hour during the chase.
Dowell left the roadway, going into a field, near Yellow Bank, and was taken into custody at about 12:15 pm CDT. Dowell was Arrested and lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center on charges of wanton endangerment; fleeing and evading (in a vehicle & on foot); no registration receipt; improper registration; failure to produce proof of insurance; no motorcycle license and no helmet. He was also served the original warrant for failure to pay fines and costs.
