
A new police chief was introduced to the Brandenburg City Council during their regular meeting Monday (12/10) night.
Mayor Ronnie Joyner introduced Brian Haag as Brandenburg Police Chief. Haag has previously worked at the West Point Police Department and the Meade County Sheriff’s Department. The council approved the appointment.
In other business, the council heard the first reading of an ordinance amendment to allow city alcohol sales until 2 am on New Years Day. A second reading of the ordinance will be held during a special called meeting at 5 pm Wednesday to allow the ordinance amendment to properly published before the upcoming holiday.
Mayor Joyner reported to the council the new design plans for the sewer treatment plant renovation are about thirty percent complete. He also reminded council members they needed to sworn in to their new term before midnight on Monday, December 31. A ceremony will be
