
Meade County is set to receive just over $1.2 million in funding through Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Rural Secondary Road Funds.
On Tuesday (3/12) night, a representative from the State Transportation District 4 Office provided Meade County Fiscal Court with a update and break down of the Rural Secondary Funding for the upcoming year. Improvements included in the estimated funds are allotted to resurfacing work along 4.76 miles of Kentucky 1239 between Payneville and Midway; a 0.913 mile section of Kentucky 144 between Kentucky 230 and 228; 3.618 miles of Kentucky 1882 between Rogers Lake Road and US 60.
Other projects planned include resurfacing work Kentucky 1238 between Highway 144 and Kentucky 1638 and an eight mile stretch of US 60 from the Breckinridge County line to Kentucky 313.
The road projects are expected to completed by the November if weather permits.
