The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet this week announced that Breckinridge County Fiscal Court will receive $90,000 in County Road Aid emergency funds.
These funds will used for a project to repair a slide on Tar Springs Road.
Tar Springs Road has been reduced to one lane at the 300 feet slide location for several months. The project is located about .8 mile from US 60.
Judge Executive Maurice Lucas said “Without funding assistance from the Transportation Cabinet, I’m not sure how we could commit to such a large project. This is an important access road to our community serving as a local connector between US 60 and KY 992.”
Breckinridge County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the project.
