A Brandenburg man is facing multiple child sex charges after a Kentucky State Police investigation.
On Friday (6/7), the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested and charged 28 year-old Leon G. Barr with seven counts of third-degree rape, 13 counts of third-degree sodomy and prohibited use of electronic means to procure a minor for sex.
Barr was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Authorities began the investigation after discovering the suspect communicating with a juvenile online. Police said Barr and the juvenile met in person and engaged in illegal sex acts.
Barr was lodged in the Meade County Detention Center as the investigation is ongoing.
