An elderly man that walked away from an Owensboro assisted living facility on Sunday has been found dead.
According to the Owensboro Police Department, 70 year-old Joe Welsh was found dead on June 26, 2019 with assistance from the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency and their Search and Rescue Team.
Welsh was reported missing after walking away from Fern Terrace Assisted Living Facility on June 23.
Details on the missing person’s report said Welsh suffered from schizophrenia and delusions.
Detectives continue to investigate, but no foul play is suspected.
