A Muldraugh woman was charged with attempted murder Wednesday night after Radcliff police say she fired a gun into a bedroom where her ex-boyfriend was with his girlfriend.
Authorities say 31 year-old Leslie Ann Meredith brought her young daughter early Wednesday morning to the Wintergreen Drive residence in Radcliff. The child was only wearing underpants, according to an arrest warrant.
According to the warrant, Meredith entered the home through a locked back door, went to an upstairs bedroom where her former boyfriend was with his current girlfriend and attempted to get into the bedroom. When she couldn’t after numerous attempts, she fired a Glock handgun through the door barely missing one of the occupants.
She then attempted to fire the gun again and it jammed. The man then left the bedroom and wrestled the gun away from Meredith before she fled downstairs and entered a garage where she broke out all of the windows of a 2008 Buick.
She then left the garage and attempted to strike the man with a lug nut wrench before fleeing the area.
She is charged with one count of attempted murder-domestic violence; one count of first-degree wanton endangerment; one count of second-degree wanton endangerment; two counts of first-degree criminal mischief; first-degree burglary; tampering with physical evidence; theft by unlawful taking less than $500 and endangering the welfare of a minor.
She is being held in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center.
