
A Meade County man was killed after a single vehicle accident near Falls of Rough on Monday (9/16) night.
Grayson County emergency crews were called to the scene in the 2300 block of Highway 110 around 10:30 Central time on a report of a single vehicle accident.
Upon their arrival at the scene, first responders found a heavily damaged Hyundai Elantra off the road and down a steep embankment, flipped onto its top. The driver identified as 25 year-old Christopher Walters, of Brandenburg was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grayson County Coroner.
The preliminary investigation determined that Walters was traveling west when his vehicle came out of curve, two of it’s wheels dropped off of the side of the road. The car went a short distance causing it to plunge down an embankment, striking several trees and a large tree stump before over turning.
The accident remains under investigation by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department.
