
Memorial arrangements for fallen Meade County Sheriff Deputy Chris Hulsey were made public Monday (9/23).
Hulsey’s body was escorted back to Meade County by a procession of about twenty emergency vehicles and family from Corydon, Indiana to the Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg. Deputy Hulsey had a fatal heart attack Saturday (9/21) evening after an altercation with a suspect during while assisting with an execution of a search warrant.
A static memorial display is currently at the Meade County Courthouse where a candlelight vigil will be held at 8 pm Tuesday (9/24) evening. Visitation will be held from Noon until 8 pm Friday (9/27) at the Hager Funeral Home. A Public funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday (9/28) at the Meade County High School gym.
Meade County Judge Executive Gerry Lynn and Meade County Fiscal Court has directed all flags be lowered and flown at half staff until sundown on Monday (9/30) in remembrance of Deputy Hulsey.
