The final preparations are being made to allow the community to say a final farewell to fallen Meade County Sheriff Deputy Chris Hulsey.
Visitation will be held from Noon until 8 pm Friday (9/27) at the Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg. On Saturday (9/28), Hulsey’s body will be taken in a closed procession of emergency vehicles from the funeral home to the Meade County High School. The community is encouraged to line the procession route Saturday as a tribute to Hulsey’s service to the community.
The route will begin at Hager Funeral Home on Bland Street then turn left onto Broadway and then right onto Hillcrest Drive. The procession will pass through the parking lot of the Meade County Courthouse and then continue on Hillcrest Drive. It will then proceed to turn left onto the Bypass (Ky 313) and travel to Light number 1 to turn left onto Broadway. The procession will then continue until a left turn onto Old State Road and then end at the Meade County High School.

The funeral service will be held in the gym of Meade County High School at 1 pm. The service will be streamed live in the “On Demand” section of WVIH.com.
The community has lowered flags until sunset on Monday (9/30) in honor of Hulsey and several hundred people attended a candlelight vigil Tuesday (9/24) evening at the Meade County Courthouse.
