Louisville Metro Police responded to a report of a child on a bicycle being struck by a vehicle near the Fern Creek area Sunday afternoon..
Metrosafe confirms that police were called to the 8000 block of Broadfern Drive near South Watterson Trail at 2:25 p.m. on reports of a person struck by a vehicle.
According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Alicia Smiley, a child on a bicycle was hit by a motorist.
EMS arrived on scene shortly after and transported the child to Norton Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department.
