The Bowling Green Police responded to a report of shots being fire in the parking lot of O’Charley’s Restaurant on Scottsville Road just after 10 p.m. Friday.
When they arrived at the scene they found 21-year-old Elijsha Taylor and 40-year-old Michael Russell, both with gunshot wounds. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office and Russell was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries, where he later died.
After preliminary investigation, the Bowling Green Police Department believes there are prior connections/relationships between the victims and the suspect. They are proceeding with the investigation, believing the incident was related to a long-standing dispute between the involved parties.
The Bowling Green Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them at 270-393-4000. They say this doesn’t appear to be a random act of violence and there is no danger to the public.
