
Several reports of damage have come in after an EF-1 tornado, with estimated winds up to 90 mph, touched down in Tompkinsville just after 8 a.m. Monday.
Bartley and Sons Funeral home suffered considerable damage. Many homes along 5th Street in Tompkinsville were also damaged. Including one home that was a rental property. No one was inside of the home when the tornado touched down but the damage to the outside is extensive.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff, no injuries were reported. The sheriff also confirmed that the sirens did not sound Monday morning and malfunctioned.
The Tompkinsville Police Department said the siren repair crew and repaired the damaged several system.
