Members of the local emergency services united Saturday (9/11) afternoon to honor and remember their fallen brothers in the line of duty during the September 11, 2021 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony marked the twentieth anniversary of the attacks, the images and impacts are still vivid to those who serve local community. The nearly hour long ceremony followed a silent parade of emergency vehicles from police, EMS and fire departments that traveled from the Meade County Courthouse in Brandenburg to the Flaherty Fire Station.
The message remains strong to never forget for our agencies and our communities to stand strong as one nation during the difficult times. You can watch a video of the ceremony in our “On Demand” section.
