A Kentucky State Police trooper was shot multiple times Friday afternoon in Cynthiana in the Delta Court area.
According to the Kentucky State Police. 22 year-old LeeQuan T. Taylor, of Lexington has been arrested and charged with assault first-degree, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and attempted murder of a police officer. He was lodged in the Bourbon County Regional Detention Center.
The trooper involved was treated overnight at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital and is expected to be released soon.
The investigation is still ongoing.
