
An Elizabethtown man who escaped from custody of the Floyd County Detention Center is back in custody.
Meade County Jailer J.J. Scarborough said 31 year-old Jesse Karr was arrested Sunday afternoon at the Meade County Detention Center after turning himself in at the jail.
Jesse Karr was serving a 10-year sentence when he escaped from a guard of the Floyd County Detention Center which at the Highlands Regional Medical Center while seeking treatment.
Karr was in custody on charges of trafficking in illegal drugs and escape.
Karr is lodged at the Meade County Detention Center on charges of second-degree escape, a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison, if convicted.
