
Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman presented checks to local municipal utilities for water and sewer improvements on Monday (3/14).
In Meade County, Coleman presented checks to the Meade County Water District in the amount of $550,000; City of Brandenburg $350,000; and $150,000 to the City of Muldraugh. The $1,050,000 are part of Senate Bill 36 that created American Rescue Plan Act to assist agencies impacted due to the corona virus. Meade County Water District will receive an additional $500,000 provided by Meade County Fiscal Court as part of the county’s ARPA funds.
In Breckinridge County, Lieutenant Governor Coleman handed out $750,000 under the Governor’s Cleaner Water Fund. She presented the City of Hardinsburg $450,000 for replacement of the Mattingly Lift Station, the City of Cloverport received $152,000 for upgrade of the Cloverdale Lift Station and the city of Irvington received $150,000 for replacement of 25 manholes.
