
Kentucky State Police received a call of a shooting at 92 Eve Highway in the Magnolia community just before 6 p.m. Monday (11/07).
Preliminary investigation indicates that 62 year-old Dennis Wells, of Magnolia, was in a verbal altercation with 31 year-old William Kelleher, of Glasgow.
Wells brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds at Kelleher striking him in multiple times.
William Kelleher was transported from the scene to Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown. Kelleher was then transported, via helicopter, to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Dennis Wells was arrested and charged with murder. He is lodged in the Hart County Jail under a $250,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 14.
Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by Hart County EMS and the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident mains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
