The names of the family members involved in the murder-suicide in the Valley Station neighborhood has been released.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 49 year-old Mary Stanton, 17 year-old Adrianna Stanton, 11 year-old Brianna Stanton 60 year-old and Gary Stanton were the four victims in this incident.
The coroner said that the 60-year-old male died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Both Adrianna and Brianna were both students at Jefferson County Public Schools.
According to Carolyn Callahan with Jefferson County Public Schools, the district is heartbroken over the tragic loss of Adrianna and Brianna. Adrianna was a student at DuPont Manual High School and Brianna was a student at Noe Middle School.
Callahan said that mental health professionals and the district crisis team will be available at both schools for students and staff.
Around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Louisville Metro Police Department officers were called to respond to the 4500 block of East Pages Lane on a report of a shooting with multiple victims.
In a statement, Louisville Metro Police Department said officers arrived and found four people dead. The victims include one adult man, an adult woman, and two juvenile females.
This is an ongoing investigation.
