
A Spencer County High School senior died after a single vehicle crash around 11:30 Saturday night.
Early investigation by the Kentucky State Police revealed 18 year-old Nathan Wimsatt was driving on Lilly Pike when he lost control of his vehicle and hit an embankment.
Police said the vehicle overturned and Wimsatt was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Loved ones are asking for prayers as they face the grief in the coming days.
On Monday, grief counselors were set up in the Spencer County High School library to provide support. KSA testing was also be delayed to focus on the well-being of the school family.
