The Hardin County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 96 mile marker on I-65 to a single vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:42 p.m. Tuesday.
A vehicle being operated by 61 year-old Robert L. Keith, of Upton, ran off the right side of the roadway striking an earth embankment.
Keith was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner.
Hardin County EMS and Elizabethtown Fire and Rescue also assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
